Situated down a winding quiet country lane in the Lower Weald area of East Sussex this little barn is the perfect couple getaway.
Privacy and tranquillity in fact all you need for a romantic hideaway.
Wake in the morning and gaze into the branches of the oak tree to watch the birds or just open the curtains and enjoy the sunshine flooding in. Either way your peace will only be disturbed by the sound of the river or the breeze in the branches. It is particularly lovely at night with very little light pollution to mar the view of the stars.
Going to Glyndebourne? We are about 20 minutes away through country lanes. No possibility of arriving fraught and hassled you will be just ready for your picnic and wonderful entertainment.
Bring your cycle or your walking boots there are public footpaths at the side of the property or The Ouse Valley Way is is just a half mile down the lane. This footpath takes you all the way to historic Lewes and has the added advantage of being downhill all the way with a pub en route for lunch.
Ashdown forest is a 10 minute drive away which is the ancient forest where Winnie the Pooh made his home. Here not only wonderful walks but spectacular views stretching from the North Downs in Surrey to the South Coast.
Head the other way to the South Downs National Park which runs from Eastbourne to Winchester with the South Downs Way travelling along the ridge affording glorious views over the weald and the towards the sea
Or maybe you would like to do a little badger watching we have a sett at the bottom of our paddock. There are at least four setts in the adjoining fields.

ACCOMODATION
Our newly built oak framed barn provides studio accommodation and has a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, hob and oven. The shower room has a shaver point and full length mirror and cosy warm towels from the towel rail.The Super King bed will guarantee a good nights sleep.
Small table and chairs inside together with an outdoor table and chairs on the terrace. Barbecue available
